Just to report
i uploaded on a regular web space
then run >

Your server configuration did not tell us that the platform is *nix family (Apache)

file "/home/mhd/www.solincitta.it/htdocs/f/activate.php" is unknow version..
..
listing all the package files..
I can be sure about my server flavour calling
php info..

I think anyway there be a settings problem due to the server autochmod
behaviour....
(i have not to set nothing when files are uploaded by default)
if the script check chmods it report a fail
Anyway as i know maybe i just lost something around 
...Just to report

You may try to re-upload the fresh files from package again.
The script still need to try on many kind of server configuration so.
You may PM me your FTP info and database info, I would like to try to install on your server.
